Hi. My name is Lisa Spinelli, and welcome to my blog.
If you would like me to Stumble an article, e-mail me the link at [lisa dot spinelli at comcast dot net]. If I like the article, I will be glad to oblige.
I started this site in January, 2008, on blogger. I’ve since become quite obsessed with the whole thing, and decided to make the switch over to WordPress/DreamHost March 15th.
About this blog:
Frugality, Personal Finance, and Sustainability are long time interests of mine, and you’ll find many articles about each of these topics on this site. You’ll find them organized such that if one of the topics interests you more than the others, you can go directly to it, by choosing the appropriate category at the top of the page. However, don’t be surprised to see that the topics often become quite interwoven. Little did I know that my long time frugality would end up become a catalyst for sustainable living. And little did I know that my drive to invest wisely for retirement could become such a deterrent to it!
That’s also part of what this blog is about: my struggles to create a stable, secure life financially, without compromising important values. I see that I’m not alone. Many other financial blogs regularly post articles around this topic as well. You can check out Mrs. Micah’s Finwikian for a list of these great blogs.
About me:
I’m forty nine years old, and happily married for almost one year now. I have two, absolutely primo, highly spirited, highly intelligent “just-turned-adult” step-daughters, and two rambunctious dogs, Pete and Babette. My step-daughters live in Boston, and the rest of us live about an hour north of Boston, in a small coastal resort town close to the New Hampshire border. In my off hours, I spend my time walking the dogs, reading on the beach, gardening, and drinking lots of coffee at the downtown Starbucks. I work in the biotechnology industry as a technical service specialist.

Finally, learning the software logistics to all this is challenging. I want to thank the many friendly bloggers and help blogs out there that often come to my rescue. I’m getting quite a sense of satisfaction as I slowly master the tools and art of blogging.
