Nagging News This Week
News that irritates me-
Got any news that irritates you? Please feel free to add to the list.
One of the best economic stimulus packages going is falling gasoline prices. It cost me $22 dollars to fill my tank this week. At its worst, it was costing me over $40 dollars for the same amount of gas. That’s $72 extra dollars every 4 weeks, or $936 more dollars a year in my pocket, and $936 dollars less going to Exxon Mobil for price gouging.
If you went to a restaurant and got a bad meal, would you go back? Should the government subsidize this restaurant so they can continue to serve awful meals? Should the bad restaurant get free money when the restaurant down the street that serves great meals is not? Now substitute the words car dealer for restaurant, and car for meal.
Why is Paulson once again avoiding giving funds to foreclosure victims - especially when he agreed to it as part of the $750 billion dollar plan?
They should put a freeze on changes outgoing presidents can make before they leave office. Could someone put George W. on a slow boat to China until January? While your at it, put a muzzle on him, too.
California’s “Yes” decision on Proposition 8, the decision to make gay marriage illegal, is just delaying the inevitable.
Does Sarah Palin really think she is a potential candidate for the 2012 presidential election? Doesn’t she get it? Is she living on an iceberg up there in Alaska?
There are two radio stations in Boston that have started playing Christmas songs around the clock. They will do so until Christmas day. Gag me.
Have a great weekend.
