Blog-O-Rama Highlights in the Blogosphere - November 3rd, 2008
I enjoy the blog carnivals. The Carnival of Personal Finance is a favorite of mine. This week is no exception. Check out #177 at The Sun’s Financial Diary.
Here’s some of my favorites from the 85 -wow that’s a lot - entries.
How to Pick Stocks in Five Steps at The Money Mythos gives five concrete steps that make a lot of sense to me. To get even more concrete about it - I’ll plug my Legendary Stocks to Watch Worksheet. Once you’ve screened out the dogs, you need a way to further evaluate the stocks, and this worksheet organizes the information you collect quite nicely.
Blueprint for Financial Prosperity‘s entry outlines 50 Financial Skills Every Person Needs to Know. It’s practical and to the point, with links to help you along. My favorite is the “bonus pair. How to register to vote and then vote. Who gets into office, at any level, has a huge impact on your finances.”
The ABC’s of Investing dole’s out short palatable bites of investing information. This week’s entry is Stock Market Index.
I Was Laid Off Yesterday is a touching expose of the author’s recent struggles dealing with his lay-off. Getting laid off is one of my fears in life. The author’s rational positive approach to his difficult situation is to be applauded. Check out his story at his blog, The Amatuer Asset Allocator.
