Doom and Gloomed Out
I had to turn off NPR on my way home from work today.
It’s Friday, and I’m tired. The market skidded lower for the eighth day in a row. Nobody really knows what to do, and, well….
I don’t want to hear about it.
I’m doom and gloomed out. Give me a Rip Van Winkle sedative and wake me when it’s over. I’m not looking at my 401 k again for a year. A year ago it was at it’s all time high. Maybe next fall it will be there again.
I’m going to the Happy News website, cracking open a brewski, and curling up between my two dogs for a night of Boston Red Sox baseball. It’s game one of the play-offs against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Dice-K - aka “King of the Road” - is pitching.
I paid my cable bill.
I live near Boston. As long as I have baseball and football, I’ll be ok.

I can certainly empathize. Couldn’t help but post doom and gloom myself lately. Wish I could share baseball with you, but right now anything that doesn’t mention “stocks” or “market” would be fine.

I feel the same way. I don’t watch basebell, so I am having trouble figuring out how to snap out of my funk.
